It was a lighter week, by 2021 standards, for large deals, with only six hitting the billion-dollar range. But one of those deals was the fifth largest of 2021. 

German real estate company Vonovia SE agreed to purchase fellow German real estate giant Deutsche Wohnen for $22 billion (18 billion Euros) in a deal that slots just behind Rogers Communications’ acquisition of fellow Canadian telecom company Shaw Communications for $26 billion in March.
