Proskauer Rose and the former chief operating officer it fired and sued for allegedly stealing trade secrets have reached a confidential settlement, according to a court filing Thursday.

The New York firm plans to dismiss the action after the court enters a permanent injunction against former Proskauer COO Jonathan O’Brien to prevent him from possessing or misappropriating any of the firm’s trade secret information, according to a letter to the court filed by a Debevoise & Plimpton lawyer representing Proskauer.
