Reed Smith has named a new leader of the global firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion programs with the appointment of Houston-based appellate partner Alan York, following the retirement of John Iino at the end of August.

York stepped into the role of global chair of DEI on Monday after practicing in the firm’s appellate section since 2016 and leading the firm’s LGBTQ+ business inclusion group PRISM (Pride, Respect and Inclusion Simply Matter) as its global chair since 2018.
