Over the past couple of months, rumors about U.S. law firms and their offices in Hong Kong have been circulating through the legal community.

One top Am Law 100 law firm was rumored to be closing in Hong Kong, but the chair assured me that that was untrue. Another U.S. law firm is planning to close its Hong Kong office and will be moving all their Hong Kong lawyers to Singapore.
