Matthew Keenan, a partner at Shook Hardy & Bacon, has been litigating on behalf of corporations for more than 30 years in product liability cases, representing clients such as Sanofi, Boston Scientific and SK Food Group.

But Keenan, 63, a partner in the firm’s medical device and pharmaceutical division, is leaving Shook’s partnership and taking on a new role come Jan. 1: executive director of the statewide legal aid organization Kansas Legal Services. He’ll be the top administrator for the group while also working on some pro bono matters himself for the organization’s individual clients.
