Perhaps you’re tired of hearing the word “unprecedented” by now, but the Ropes & Gray’s life sciences group certainly isn’t, as their steering some of their biggest clients through a flurry of COVID-19-related panic not too long ago is a real source of empowerment and pride. But it was by no means an easy feat. “The work was challenging and, to be candid, it was—at times—emotionally taxing,” says Michael Beauvais, a Boston-based life sciences partner.

Beauvais, who was previously global co-chair of the life sciences and health care industry group, is frank about the group’s achievements, noting the challenges of being locked down alongside the rest of the world. The fact that the team deployed their expertise so well, he says, “says to me that we met the moment.”
