The Great Resignation isn’t just pushing lawyers and associates to look for greener pastures. Legal tech and innovation professionals are also on the move—often at dizzying speeds.

Take, for example, Baker McKenzie’s past year. In the first half of 2021, the firm’s former legal project management director, Casey Flaherty, and director of pricing strategy, Jae Um, moved on to opportunities in the legal tech market, while David Cambria, the firm’s first global director of legal operations, headed to PwC’s legal business solutions team.
