For the European firms that made it onto the Global 200 this year, growth wasn’t the goal. But it was definitely a reward.

Given the challenges of the pandemic year in 2020, European law firms say they would have been happy to match their results from 2019, which in many cases was a record year for revenue. But after a fine first quarter and a second quarter knocked slightly off the rails by COVID-19, top firms on the continent managed to finish the year in style—enough to pop the champagne and celebrate.
