It’s the situation every parent fears more than anything. Their child is sick, and doctors say nothing can be done. That’s where DLA Piper partner Alec Fraser found himself and his family in 2016, when his then 19-year old son, Julian, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and deadly form of cancer. 

Julian, an All-American swimmer and collegiate water polo player, would ultimately lose his battle with cancer in 2017.
