Earlier this summer, Davis Wright Tremaine earned a slot in Microsoft’s innovation accelerator after a monthslong competition among outside providers. To do so, it teamed up with two of its competitors—Perkins Coie and Greenberg Traurig—and took advantage of De Novo, the firm’s legal solutions arm. In this interview, Jeffrey Gray, the firm’s managing partner, discusses working with competitors, Davis Wright’s innovative mindset, and why both can play a role in meeting clients’ needs.
