Jenner & Block, which had a strong financial year in 2015, saw an eight-partner government contracts team leave the firm this week, even as it brought on a new head of its trademark practice from Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton.

BENJAMIN MULCAHY, co-head of Sheppard Mullin’s sports and digital media teams, has joined Jenner & Block’s Los Angeles office, where he will co-chair his new firm’s trademark, advertising and unfair competition practice. Mulcahy brings with him Sheppard Mullin partner GINA REIF ILARDI in New York. The two served as co-leaders of Sheppard Mullin’s advertising industry group and will now work out of Jenner & Block’s content, media and entertainment practice.
