A client-attorney relationship and a lack of disclosure about changing attorney fees led to a six-month suspension for a Washington attorney, the state’s high court held last week.

The Supreme Court for the state of Washington suspended Tacoma attorney Michael Olufemi Ewetuga after a formal complaint from the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Washington State Bar Association in February 2023 alleged misconduct regarding his sexual relationship with a client during representation and his failure to explain why he changed the rate of his attorney fees while settling the client’s case.
