With three Roundup verdicts totaling more than half a billion dollars, plaintiffs lawyers are putting pressure on Bayer to settle thousands of cases, or recall its pesticide, insisting that the tide has now turned against Monsanto.

In less than two weeks, juries in Missouri, Pennsylvania and California handed plaintiffs awards of $1.25 million, $175 million and $332 million in Roundup trials. That’s a drastic shift from the past two years, when Monsanto won nine defense verdicts in a row.
