Experts are warning tech companies to be on alert for voice cloning and deepfakes with the use of artificial intelligence, which has opened a floodgate of legal concerns.

While the leaps made by AI have created exciting possibilities for some, recent machine-learning advances have made it possible for others to abuse it by committing fraud, spreading misinformation, or generating fake audio evidence, according to some industry veterans.
