A Johnson & Johnson subsidiary barreled ahead this week with the filing of a Chapter 11 reorganization plan, even as a hearing looms to dismiss its entire bankruptcy.

The plan, filed late Monday, would resolve thousands of lawsuits alleging that Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder products caused ovarian cancer and mesothelioma. But no sooner had bankrupt subsidiary LTL Management filed the plan then it came under attack.
