A federal judge in Massachusetts has dismissed a defamation suit by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy against Insider.com over two articles it published detailing sexual assault accusations against him.
Portnoy filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in February 2022 asserting claims of defamation by libel and invasion of privacy. The complaint named the news publication, its CEO, its global editor-in-chief and two reporters as defendants in the case.
