Baker McKenzie has split from its most senior partner in the United Arab Emirates, after he made a series of homophobic comments on social media.

Founder of Baker McKenzie’s UAE member firm, Habib Al Mulla & Partners, partner Habib Al Mulla, in a Twitter thread posted on September 6, wrote that homosexuality was “problematic”, “not only in the ugliness of the act, but in the necessity of atheism by its nature”.
