A Virginia immigration attorney with more than 30 years of experience consented to the revocation of her license to practice law Aug. 5 after she pleaded guilty last month to evading more than $869,000 in income taxes.
Nosuk Pak Kim, co-founder of Cowardin & Kim in Newport News, Virginia, pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia to two felony counts of evasion of income tax assessment, owing a total of approximately $868,924.54 from 2015 and 2016, according to her affidavit declaring consent to the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board. The board accepted her consent to revocation on Aug. 5.
