Citing “grave concern,” more than 50 agricultural groups sent a letter to President Joe Biden asking to withdraw his administration’s abrupt reversal this month in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court involving Roundup pesticide.
On May 10, U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar filed an amicus brief asking the Supreme Court to deny review of Bayer’s petition, which sought to prevent a potential cancer warning on Monsanto’s Roundup—a big change from two years ago, when the Justice Department under President Donald Trump took the opposing view in the case, then before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
