Ropes & Gray hired private equity partner GARRETT CHARON from Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York. Charon, who just made partner at Weil this year, followed veteran partner David Blittner who made the move to Ropes & Gray in April.

That makes at least six private equity partners who have left Weil this year. Michael Weisser and Sarah Stasny left for Kirkland & Ellis’ New York office in May, the same month Eric Schwartzman joined Cooley in Palo Alto. David Kreisler, meanwhile, left for Sidley Austin in April. A firm spokeswoman declined to comment on the recent private equity departures.
