A week after hiring a partner from Drinker Biddle & Reath in New Jersey, Fenwick & West has confirmed its intention to open a six-partner office in New York.

The Silicon Valley stalwart declined to discuss its intentions last week after sibling publication the New York Law Journal reported on Fenwick’s addition of Drinker Biddle corporate partner IAN GOLDSTEIN in Princeton, New Jersey, where he chaired his former firm’s emerging company and venture capital practice. Two sources told the NYLJ that Goldstein would help open Fenwick’s Big Apple base.
