Just three years after Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker scooped up Milwaukee litigation firm Leib & Katt to forge a foothold in Wisconsin, several of the lawyers behind the bolt-on have branched back out on their own, forming Leib Knott Gaynor earlier this month.

In January 2013, Leib & Katt’s name partners Samuel Leib and William Katt—who co-founded their former namesake firm in 1998—led nine attorneys and 13 staff members to Wilson Elser, including partners Douglas Knott, Sean Gaynor and Kevin Christensen.
