Dykema Gossett, a Detroit-based Am Law 200 firm that recently recruited a new summer associate who once opened for rock star Kid Rock, saw four partners leave its Motor City headquarters to form their own firm.

PATRICK HINCHEY, head of Dykema’s labor and employment practice, and fellow partners MARK HAUCK, THOMAS BISHOFF and BENJAMIN JEFFERS have formed Detroit-based business and employment litigation boutique Hickey Hauck Bishoff & Jeffers, according to Crain’s Detroit Business. The new firm plans to hire an additional associate this week, with plans to expand to nine lawyers.
