Hughes Hubbard & Reed is cementing its footprint in Brazil as a corruption scandal envelops dozens of executives, companies and politicians there.

The Am Law 100 firm has launched an alliance with Saud Advogados, a Rio de Janeiro-based firm that was formed Thursday by anti-corruption lawyer Salim Saud Neto. Salim Saud is a former partner at Tauil & Chequer Advogados, a Brazilian firm that maintains an alliance with Mayer Brown.
