Sidley Austin chairman Carter Phillips calls it an “exquisite” coincidence: The firm, which was founded in 1866 and celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, posted revenue of $1.866 billion in 2015—at least if you round down.

The American Lawyer rounded up to $1.867 billion, making for a 6.5 jump in gross revenue in a year when Sidley posted increases across the board. The firm cracked the $1 million mark in revenue per lawyer—up 5.5 percent—and profits per equity partner rose 3.8 percent to surpass $2 million for the first time. Compensation for all partners increased 6.3 percent, to $1.36 million.
