The shakeup of the German legal market shows no signs of abating in 2016, with U.K. publication Legal Week reporting that Latham & Watkins has moved to rebuild its private equity offering in the country with the hire of Linklaters practice head Rainer Traugott.

Legal Week reported Wednesday that Traugott handed in his notice, and Latham subsequently confirmed in a press release its hire of the longtime Linklaters partner. The Magic Circle firm declined to comment on the move. (Legal Week was recently acquired by ALM, which publishes The American Lawyer and The Am Law Daily, among other legal and business titles, for an undisclosed sum.)
