Is it inappropriate/sexist/creepy to compliment a female colleague about her looks? I personally don’t get upset about it, but these days many find it offensive.

Just a few weeks ago, I wrote about a young female British lawyer who had a Twitter fit after a Brown Rudnick partner told her she looked “stunning” in her LinkedIn photo. She called his comment “unacceptable and misogynistic behaviour,” tweeted about her repulsion and ratted on him to his law firm.
