The document, which covers the 12-month period between July 1, 2014, and June 30, 2015, shows that the New York-based National Basketball Players Association had a dozen law firms on its payroll in its first year under the leadership of new executive director Michele Roberts, a former litigation partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Washington, D.C., who joined the firm in 2011.
