Already somewhat of a slap shot, selling professional ice hockey in the desert just got harder.

Former high-flying plaintiffs lawyer Andrew Barroway is preparing to divest himself of a controlling stake in the National Hockey League’s Arizona Coyotes that he acquired through a $155 million deal last year. The move comes as the team finds itself involved in a $200 million litigation battle with the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.
