Neota Logic Inc., the legal process application platform provider, has teamed up with SeyfarthLean Consulting, a subsidiary of Seyfarth Shaw, to launch Disclosure Dragon software for crowdfunding, according to a statement. The software has been developed on the Neota Logic Server to assist companies and crowdfunding portals with the legal and financial disclosure required for offerings under the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act of 2012. In September, the JOBS Act changed a rule to allow private companies to advertise for capital and new investors, explained Katie Lobosco at CNNMoney.

The collaboration between Neota and SeyfarthLean is geared toward small business and early stage companies wanting to make use of this new rule change. It automates, expedites and standardizes the development of a private placement memorandum and other documents necessary to satisfy the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s regulations. “SeyfarthLean Consulting’s service approach combined with our software’s expert systems capabilities will help small and startup companies find financing more easily and cost-effectively,” said Neota CEO Michael Mills, in a statement.
