From Target breaches to Snowden disclosures, privacy is on the top of everyone’s minds—including the lawmakers. And to keep it all straight, Jeff Kosseff compiled on Covington & Burling LLP’s Inside Privacy Blog a handy list of the top 20 privacy Bills to watch out for in 2014.

In the U.S. Senate, these include the Personal Data Privacy and Security Act of 2014, which would expand civil and criminal penalties for data breaches and the misuse of personal information, says Kosseff. Another interesting one to keep an eye on—and perhaps the other eye should be leveled to the sky—is the Drone Aircraft Privacy and Transparency Act of 2013 which would provide guidance and limitations on the integration of drones into U.S airspace.
