Peter Martelli, a corporate partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York, recently resigned from the firm, bound for Kirkland & Ellis.
At the end of a 90-day notice period, Martelli is poised to join his new firm this summer, making him the latest young transactional lawyer from Simpson Thacher to decamp for Kirkland in recent years.
