Two months after its trans-Atlantic merger talks with British firm Eversheds fell through, Foley & Lardner has struck strategic alliances with government affairs shops in California and Michigan.

The firm confirmed Thursday that it had teamed up with Sacramento-based lobbying firm Lang, Hansen, O’Malley & Miller to enhance its public policy expertise in the Golden State, only a few days after Foley & Lardner finalized a similar accord with Michigan Legislative Consultants Inc.
