In the art world’s latest multimillion-dollar deal, the auction house Sotheby’s announced the week that it has acquired the boutique art advisory firm Art Agency, Partners. For more than a year the boutique had been run in part by former Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz partner Adam Chinn, whose career has spanned the heights of law, Wall Street and the elite art market.

Chinn joined Art Agency, Partners as one of three partners just months after it was founded in March 2014 by Amy Cappellazzo, former chairman of Post-War & Contemporary Development at Sotheby’s rival Christie’s, and Allan Schwartzman, a former director of the Barbara Gladstone Gallery.
