Since 2002, 780 men and boys have been detained at Guantánamo. By mid-October 2015, 655 had been transferred out of the prison; 9 died there. Of the 114 who remain, 53 have been cleared for release but continue to be detained.

As of mid-October, 64 habeas cases have been adjudicated at trial, resulting in 39 habeas grants and 25 denials.
