Herbert Smith Freehills is poised to become the latest Global 100 firm to consolidate its operations in the Middle East, announcing plans to shutter its Abu Dhabi office.

“We can confirm that we are to close our Abu Dhabi office,” said a statement by corporate finance partner Zubair Mir, head of the firm’s Middle East practice since 2012. “We are confident that we can continue to provide the quality and breadth of service to our clients in Abu Dhabi from our offices in Dubai and Doha and our global network across the U.K./U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific.”
