Having already opened up new offices in Washington, D.C., Houston, London, Moscow and Hong Kong in recent years, global litigation giant Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan is poised to open its first office in mainland China.

Quinn Emanuel expects to open an outpost in Shanghai sometime this fall after luring Kirkland & Ellis’ Asia government enforcement and investigations head, SAMUEL WILLIAMSON, according to sibling publication The Asian Lawyer, which notes that he will serve as local managing partner.
