Minneapolis-based Robins Kaplan has opened an office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with plans to open another in Bismarck, North Dakota. The new outposts will be led by the former U.S. attorneys for South Dakota and North Dakota, Brendan Johnson and Timothy Purdon, respectively.

The Sioux Falls office opened last Friday, and the Bismarck office is slated to open once the firm selects a space for it, according to Johnson and Purdon. Robins Kaplan’s seventh and eighth locations will allow the firm to serve American Indian tribes in the Dakotas, and eventually across the country, specifically in the area of litigation, Purdon says.
