After two consecutive months of declines, the legal sector added 3,100 jobs in February, according to seasonally adjusted preliminary data released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The BLS estimates that 1.121 million people were working in the legal services industry in February, the highest since August of last year. That’s still 500 fewer people employed than at the same time last year. Since January, the legal sector has brought 1,300 new jobs.
