Less than two weeks after Littler Mendelson announced it would open a back office in Kansas City, Mo., local firm Polsinelli is criticizing the move for undercutting the competitive advantage that it and others now enjoy.

In a letter emailed to several other local law firm leaders, which was obtained by the Kansas City Star, Polsinelli chairman and CEO Russell Welsh outlined his concerns about Littler moving in on his turf.
