DLA Piper and Baker & McKenzie are increasing their bets on the changing business climate south of the border.

Baker & McKenzie said on Tuesday that it has nabbed a team of transactional partners from DLA Piper’s Mexico City office. Not to be outdone, DLA Piper announced its own plans on Tuesday to combine with Gallastegui y Lozano, a Mexico City-based firm of 16 attorneys—seven of whom are partners.
