Jeffrey Perry has played a central role in some of the biggest antitrust fights in recent years.

Before joining Weil Gotshal & Manges this summer, he spent 13 years at the Federal Trade Commission, where he rose through the ranks to head the Mergers IV division. At the agency, Perry was key to the FTC’s successful court challenge to Promedica Health Systems Inc.’s merger with St. Luke’s Hospital. He was also part of the team suing to undo the Phoebe Putney/Palmyra Hospital merger, a landmark case that resulted in a U.S. Supreme Court victory for the FTC. In addition, he was lead counsel in the agency’s closely watched investigation into the Office Depot/OfficeMax merger. — Jenna Greene
