A top government lawyer is reportedly catching the Pepsi spirit. According to Bloomberg, Associate Attorney General Tony West is heading to PepsiCo Inc. as general counsel after he resigns from his government post on Sept. 15. Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. announced earlier this month that West would be leaving, but didn’t say where the U.S. Department of Justice’s third-in-command was headed.

As our affiliate publication The National Law Journal reported, West has taken the lead in some of the Justice Department’s top priorities, such as helping negotiate the $16.6 billion settlement last month with Bank of America over mortgage-backed securities.
