The legal industry wiped out its employment losses in July by adding 3,300 jobs in August—its largest monthly gain so far this year, according to the latest figures released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In reporting August’s preliminary numbers, the BLS revised its seasonally adjusted July numbers to reflect 400 lost jobs that month instead of the 200 jobs initially reported to be have been shed.
