A former Schlumberger Ltd. in-house counsel sued by the company for allegedly revealing trade secrets has countered with a demand for $1.2 million in attorney fees and sanctions, claiming the company filed a “frivolous” lawsuit against her.

The motion claims Schlumberger’s action against her is a SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation) suit, in retaliation for her taking a job with a company that has sued Schlumberger for patent infringement.
