A bankruptcy trustee overseeing the dissolution of the Thelen law firm cannot recover the fees generated from unfinished cases that were transferred to another firm, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled on Wednesday.
The circuit’s per curium decision in In re Thelen, 14-4138-bk, was anticipated in light of a New York Court of Appeals holding last month.
