Two years ago we published for the first time our Litigation Departments of the Year supplement. Modeled after a contest conducted by our sibling publication The American Lawyer, it was an opportunity for us to devote a bit of extra attention to something we already knew well: Pennsylvania is home to a bevy of first-class litigators.
Our first run of this contest, in which Morgan, Lewis & Bockius was named the winner among large firms for general litigation, was as informative as any supplement we’ve put together regarding the outstanding work being done by attorneys throughout the commonwealth. Even for many of the veteran legal journalists on our staff, the submissions we received were eye-opening, demonstrating the scale and complexity of the litigation matters being handled by Pennsylvania lawyers.
