Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and an air mattress manufacturer have failed to free themselves fully from a liability complaint brought by a Florida man who said he was injured when a new air mattress “popped” and collapsed under him.
U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales Howard of the Middle District of Florida found on July 7 that Florida resident Joseph Egbebike provided sufficient allegations in his complaint to support his strict products-liability claim against Wal-Mart and manufacturer Intex Recreation Corp.
