Sears Holdings Corp. is stocking its shelves with a new general counsel after Dane Drobny left the company for Groupon. Kristin Coleman is picking up her sports bag and joining Sears as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She will be responsible for oversight and leadership of the legal business unit, as well as corporate communications, environmental services, global compliance, government affairs, internal audit and product safety.

Coleman “is a proven leader with experience managing legal, compliance and corporate governance issues,” said Edward Lampert, the chairman and CEO, in a statement. “Having started her career as a litigator and transitioning into corporate law, she brings a breadth and depth of experience to Sears Holdings.”
