Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. has brought in a Dechert white-collar defense partner and the head of an investigative firm as he builds out his executive staff at the start of his second term.

Vance announced the appointment of Benjamin Rosenberg, co-chair of Dechert’s white collar and securities litigation practice, as the office’s general counsel and the creation of a chief-of-staff position that will be filled by Jeffrey Schlanger, now president and chief executive officer of KeyPoint Government Solutions. Vance also named current communications director, Erin Duggan Kramer, 38, to deputy chief of staff in addition to retaining her communications director role.
